Lomo LC-A: Acquiring the cultiest of cult cameras?
If you take a look at my flickr, you'll see that the album with Olympus XA2 photos has (as of 26 Sept 2022) has 1,882 photos, more than any other camera I've owned. It is the second oldest (to me, not in actual age) camera in my collection, so I'd shoot it more than cameras... Continue Reading →
A late September art update, right before Bikeartober
Making postcards during the San Juans Tour in August It's been a few months since I checked in with you fine folks about my continued journey with art. So far this year I've used both watercolors and dip ink pens for the first time in decades. This felt good, and I kept on experimenting with... Continue Reading →
Ricohflex Dia: Four months in
Union Station, Portland OR, 31 July 2022. Ricohflex Dia/Ilford XP2 Back in May I acquired my Ricohflex Dia (or Diacord) twin-lens reflex (TLR) 120 camera. Let’s coffeeneur our way through the changing seasons.

The Coffeeneuring Challenge is not a race. Rides can…

Of watches and minimalism
It was barely a month ago I got a new watch, an automatic "Waterbury" watch from Timex. This is the nicest watch I've ever owned. Yet barely a month later, I've purchased another watch. It's another Timex, one of their "Weekender" watches. It's one of the least expensive watches they make. I paid $35 for... Continue Reading →
