Bikeartober 2021, Half-way In

It’s just about the halfway point for the October “draw every day” challenge. This is the challenge known as “Inktober”, but after hearing about questionable actions of its founder, I’ve decided to not label what I was doing as such. This year I flew without a label for the first week. Then in conversation with Tim in Saskatoon, we hit upon the label of Bikeartober. Yeah, that sounds good! True, I only sporadically draw bikes but much of my stuff is informed with the angle of being a cyclist. (Sure.)

So, how have I been doing with #bikeartober2021? Pretty good, so far. I haven’t necessarily drawn each day, a few times I drew two days worth of comix in one day. And I missed one day, which is okay. I promised myself that I wouldn’t beat myself up for missing a day or two. That’s counter-productive, especially if I want to keep this up through the winter.

Without further ado, here is what I have drawn so far this month. Remember that this is a dynamic flickr album, you can “scroll” through it or click on it to bring you to flickr if you want.

Journal Comic, 4 Oct 2021. Sunset on Tabor.
