Hey folks! After a wet weekend (very much needed) we have a nice and dry Monday. The full moon is tonight, so it’s time for a Sunset/Moonrise Ride!
Meet me at Frazer Park, NE 52nd and Hassalo at 6 PM. We depart at 6:30 PM on a 5 mile ride to our mystery sunset and moonrise viewing destination. Stock up on snacks and libations before meeting up, as there is no store stop (but there is a market near the destino.)
Ride not a loop. Lights, layers, and a picnic blanket are good ideas. Extra credit if you bring a telescope or good binoculars to observe the moon.
Sunset is 7:11 PM. Moonrise is 7:34 PM.
This is most likely the last Sunset/Moonrise of the 2021 season–after this the nights get longer and colder, and the chances of clouds/rain outweigh clear. Still, if the conditions are right, I may do one on October 20. Stay tuned for details. But if you want a guaranteed Sunset/Moonrise Ride before 2022, join us tonight!
